LITTLE ITALY NEIGHBORHOOD RECIPE EXCHANGE 2021

An interactive pop up focused on preserving spontaneous slices of family and neighborhood history

The challenge for this project was to create a pop up that captures the spirit of Little Italy. The Neighborhood Recipe Exchange allows for two different experiences. First, one can craft their own recipe card that they can add to the public instillation as well as share with family and friends. Second, visitors can take recipe cards from the instillation and craft their own neighborhood recipe book. This creates a shared experience for the neighborhood, allows for neighbors who might otherwise never meet to connect on a personal level.
